MY TERMS OF BUSINESS

I want to keep things as clear and simple as possible while ensuring we have a solid understanding of how we’ll work together. These terms outline the key details of our agreement and provide clarity and protection for both of us.

Before I begin any work, I’ll send you a Booking Form via email. This will include:
A breakdown of the tasks I’ll be handling
Agreed goals and deadlines
Any other relevant details

To proceed, you’ll need to reply to the email confirming that you accept both the Booking Details and my Terms of Business. This forms our official agreement.

Please note: I can’t start any work until I’ve received your confirmation. If there’s a delay in receiving this, it may impact agreed deadlines.

General Terms:

  • Free Consultation & Quote – I offer a complimentary consultation and quote via phone, online meeting, or email.

  • Confidentiality – Your privacy is important to me. My Privacy Policy outlines how I handle, store, and protect your data. If needed, I’m happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) provided by you.

  • Quality & Accuracy – I check and proofread all work carefully, but the final responsibility for reviewing it remains with you.

  • Ownership of Work – Once full payment has been received, ownership (including any copyright) of the completed work transfers to you.

  • Password Security – For security reasons, I prefer that you do not share passwords directly with me. I recommend using LastPass, but I’m happy to use an alternative password manager if you already have one.

  • My Availability – I work Monday to Thursday, 10am - 4pm.

Invoicing & Payment Terms:

  • Ad-hoc Work – Invoices are sent weekly, in advance, unless agreed otherwise.

  • Packages – Apart from Project packages, you’ll be invoiced monthly in advance.

    • Retainer, Let's Keep it Clear, and Let's Make a Date Packages are valid for 4 weeks from the date of purchase.

    • Project packages are until the project is completed.

    • The purchase date is the date you confirm acceptance in writing, unless we agree on a different start date.

  • Additional Costs – Any extra expenses (such as postage, printing, or outbound calls) will be itemised and added to your invoice.

  • Payment Terms – Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date.

  • Late Payments – Overdue invoices may be subject to statutory interest charges in line with UK Government late payment regulations

Updates to These Terms:

I may update these terms as needed. You’ll receive a copy of the latest terms at the start of any new work. If updates occur during an ongoing project, you’ll be notified and given the choice to accept the new terms or continue under the original agreement.
